Respect Mag caught up with one of my favorite up and comers in the game, Southside, in house producer for 1017 Bricksquad and half of 808 Mafia (a production duo consisting of him and Lex Luger.) Sizzle caught a huge break this year when Kanye’s manager showed Kanye what is now the beat for “Illest Motherfucker Alive”. Hit the jump to read the full interview and more on how Southside ended up on Watch The THrone.
So it looks like Rick Ross has said that a joint album with himself, Drizzy, & Weezy is very likely to happen. Hit the jump to read the report below.
It only made since that this deal went down sooner or later since G.O.O.D. just signed their deal with Def Jam. Maybe this is the reason why his Fear Of God 2 EP was pushed until September 21st. Read a statement from Pusha below.
“Solidifying my first solo venture, G.O.O.D Music/DefJam is my home. That machine with my creativity is gonna make for satisfied hiphop fans.”
Even though Lil Wayne’s 9th solo album is projected to go almost platinum on the charts, he’s still been sort of a laughingstock for the past week.Everything from dissing to Jay-Z’s pregnant wife and being ignored, to “#ThingBetterThanTheCarterIV” trending worldwide on twitter, and to wearing women’s pants during his VMA’s performance. To add icing on the cake, LA Weekly has compiled a list of the top 60 worst lines from Lil Wayne’s latest project, hit the jump to see it.
Edit: I didnt write this list stans, LA Weekly did.
As we reported two days ago, T.I. is back on the streets. Will ge go back or will he get it together this time? Read some tweets from him below.
Well he’s done it again. Game has debuted at #1 for the third time in his career pushing 96,460 records. Right behind him is Kanye & Uncle Otis at #2 moving 88,500 units. Stay tuned for next week to see if Weezy can hit the one million mark.
Looks like we’ll have to wait a couple weeks longer before the T.I.P. gets out. Yesterday, reports popped up counting down T.I.’s release from Arkansas’ Forrest City Federal Prisons for Wednesday August 31. But T.I.’s chief attorney, Jonathan Leonard, said his client will not be waving to the public at any point tomorrow.
Leonard said T.I. will be released on Thursday, Septermber 29 as originally planned. But, for those people can’t wait the extra weeks, there may still be hope for an earlier release.
